A SIGN? – Section of California Highway 1 Falls Into Pacific Ocean, March 17, 2011

Author: I was reviewing the aftershock swarm of earthquakes off the coast of Japan recently, and made a video highlighting concern for a 5.1 magnitude along the southeastern coast. Not a significant earthquake right? Wrong, its all about location, look at the fault lines. This recent 3.5 is very close to the triple plate junction along the California coastline. The western US has shown a spike in activity today, we may be headed for a significant earthquake, stay alert everyone.

Anyone with the slightest knowledge of Geology would know that California in several million years will be a part of Alaska! California won’t just slide into the Pacific like in some of those Hollywood movies, but part of it will just keep sliding north. Why all this hype about earthquakes? You build on a fault line- you suffer the consequences! Better yet, build on a fault line right next to the ocean and see what happens! When will people learn!?
