This is the last LASCO C3 picture currently available!

This is the last LASCO C3  picture from July 16, 2011 currently available as LASCO C3  has not updated now for 26 Hours.

Does anybody know what that bright object is? It seems to be static and not orbiting the Sun.

Select LASCO 3 – on the display click images – resolution 512 – then put start date 2011/07/18 and end date 2011/07/19 – then click “search” there you’ll have the latest images!!!

  4. Yes Camila thats definatley moving and its huge for sure also if you look at the EIT 171 image using the same dates it shows this think blacked out with a square!!
I mean why would they so obviously put a black square over this object surely thats hiding something more revealing to us now?
This is very intriguing what do you all think now?

  5. I did some research using the background stars as reference, along with the locations of the planets. The large object appears to be Venus within the constellation Gemini.

  6. I found this article on http://www.sciencedaily.com
may be this is what we are looking at:
Evolved Stars Locked in Fatalistic Dance
ScienceDaily (July 13, 2011) — White dwarfs are the burned-out cores of stars like our Sun. Astronomers have discovered a pair of white dwarfs spiraling into one another at breakneck speeds. Today, these white dwarfs are so near they make a complete orbit in just 13 minutes, but they are gradually slipping closer together. About 900,000 years from now — a blink of an eye in astronomical time — they will merge and possibly explode as a supernova. By watching the stars converge, scientists will test both Einstein’s general theory of relativity and the origin of some peculiar supernovae.

Well, NASA tells it is Venus…but i watched this object also and it was really not moving for days and now it going in direction of the sun. I cannot imagine that this object is really venus…well, lets watch and see what will happen…especally how the sun is reacting…

Wow..quite curious! I watched something very similar, if not the same on one of beepeeoildisaster’s videos..actually it was his latest & in it you could clearly see this object take a direct hit from the sun & it was left looking like smoke was coming off of it. Just wondering if these are the same?
