Asteroid 2005 YU55 Orbit Simulation

Asteroid 2005 YU55 Orbit Simulation

Now we don’t hear much about Asteroid 2005 YU55, so thought i would mirror this. Not a lot about for elenin now anyway.

Using Starry Night 6 Pro to simulate the orbit of Asteroid 2005 YU55
see how ”close” (au)/ ”far”(km)

It will pass the moon & the earth from different dimensions
also with other nearby Comets & Asteroids but the main focus is 2005 YU55
data gathered from NASA JPL Small_Body database website
& wikipedia in order to create this simulation

  1. Yea geographos doesn’t even come close to earth for like ten years just for the info, pretty much the same for apophis. I dunno if thats what your getting at, but YU55 has sparked my curiousity for sure. Weird shape, weird orbit, weird solar body in my opinion. Definately watching that bastard! LOL.

  4. now we are getting really close for another sky show
    comet 45P/Honda
The comet Honda-Mrkos-Pajdusakova is expected to brighten rapidly in August as it passes to the south of the Earth. It will be observable from the southern hemisphere for about 2 weeks before getting too close to the Sun.
At its closest the comet will be 0.060 AU from the Earth, that is about 9 million kilometers away. While this is close for a comet, it is still about 24 times the distance of the moon. When it is first at magnitude 10, on the evening of August 9/10 it will be visible from New Zealand throughout the night, setting only briefly during daylight hours. For the next few nights until August 16 it will be circumpolar although low in the sky in the evening. On the 17th it will set briefly in the evening to rise again about midnight.

Over the next few days, as the comet moves north it will rise after midnight so becoming a morning object. Its elongation from the Sun will decrease as the comet moves away from the Earth towards the Sun and it will rise later in the morning to become lost in the morning twilight by about August 23.

By mid September Honda-Mrkos-Pajdusakova will be an 8th magnitude object rising about 90 minutes before the Sun into the dawn sky. The comet will then be slow moving in Leo, a few degrees from Regulus. By mid October it will have faded to magnitude 10.

45P/Honda-Mrkos-Pajdušáková is a periodic comet discovered by Minoru Honda December 3, 1948. The comet is named after Minoru Honda, Antonn Mrkos and Ludmila Pajdušáková. The orbit is elliptical with a period of 5.252 years. The comet nucleus is estimated to be 1.6 kilometers in diameter.

  5. Comet Honda and Comet Elenin seem indeed to almost intersect orbits pretty close to the Earth in October 2011. “I wonder what kind of electrical effects this might have on us”.
And it is interesting that, according to some calculations which take into account errors in the Gregorian/Julian calendar, the actual end date of the Mayan calendar may be October 28, 2011 instead of December 21, 2012

  6. this comet Honda has passed in close proximity with Earth, Venus and Jupiter since it’s discovery in 1948. Interestingly, when it passed Earth at 0.23 AU from Earth on February 5, 1975, China had a 7.3 magnitude earthquake on February 4, 1975. Another note about this 1975 earthquake:
“Seismologists sent out warnings about this earthquake a day before it took place and ordered evacuations. This successful prediction saved many lives.[citation needed] This was the first and the only successful earthquake prediction in history.[citation needed] In the days leading up to the event cats and other animals were thought to have acted strangely. Also snakes were reported to have been emerging from hibernation.[citation needed] There are some claims that this aided in the prediction of the earthquake.” the question is – will seismologists give the alarm and saved lives again??

  7. YU55 I believe that NASA is showing a wrong simulation on their website of the near miss of the moon. The moon in their simulation moves east to north. But in reality the moon moves east to west through the southern most hemisphere. You can check this your self watch the moon on a clear night after sun sets at around 8:00pm. It should then be in the east then check it again at 10:00pm and again at 12:00pm it should then be in the south and when you get up at 5:00am it will be in the west. Now my predicaton

  8. As my prediction I believe that YU55 will collide with the moon at 20012 miles which is Nostradamus prediction and if he’s off by 5miles either way that’s ok. After the moon is pushed out of orbit from YU55 the earth will start to wobble. And it may take awhile before it’s totally out of sight of what’s left.

  12. Hello everyone. I have been tracking this very curious asteroid for some time. YU55 is certainly interesting to say the least. I get worried about events that are not highly publicized through major networks for one reason, they dont want anyone to know about it. You think an event like this would be mentioned more often. Even though NASA has calculated it will not hit the earth based on current orbit data, I am not convinced.

I have asked everyone one of my peers and no one has heard anything about YU55.

Furthermore – has anyone found any research or data that stipulates if this thing decides to change orbit where it would impact Earth?

Solar flares – given that we are at the peak of solar flare season, has there been any calculations based on when YU55 comes around the sun and a solar flare occurs at the same time would that have any effect on its orbit? I don’t know enough about solar flares and the effect it would have on an asteroids orbit? Any insight here would be great.

Plus – all the secret launches of Delt IV rockets going on around here with “secret cargo” is suspicious as well.

I am sure if YU55 decides to change course and heads for impact of Earth or the moon these guys are ready to test their nuclear deflection scenario. Could the pay loads being sent up be just that? Nuclear defense system against asteroids? Maybe.

Question: does any one know if this thing changes direction, gets past our try to blow it up with nuclear weapons scenario, and gets into our atmosphere would it cause an electro- magnetic pulse and fry everything electronic?

I live in San Diego, and we just had a city wide “blackout.” that was blamed on one poor soul that pushed the wrong button….really? That person has never been revealed, and no one has asked any questions about it? Could this have been a test to see how people would react in a total blackout? We live in the most highly concentrated areas with military bases everywhere. If shit got out of hand they could instill martial law very swiftly and quickly here.

I drove down from LA during the black out through Camp Penalton a Marine base. They were doing all sorts of drills with helicopters flying everywhere, and 2 battleship like cruises off the coast.

I am not freaking out, I just think that there is a lot interesting happenings around this YU55, and the date it is supposed to be here.

Plus – with all the FEMA drills, and emergency funding that just occurred and ordering of body bags and MRE’s. They are planning for something major. That is not hurricane supplies.

I know that it is not a global killer, it would certainly cause havoc if it hit us that’s for sure.

Maybe we should all prepare for a 30 day blackout period. Stock up on emergency supplies just in case.

Any feedback on my questions would be great, as I am not a scientists or claim to be, I just have not heard any one pose that question regarding solar flares.

It will be interesting to see what happens, I just hope it flys right by and no one notices.
    Peace
