A large earthquake measuring 6.6 (revised to 6.3) on the Richter scale has struck the Indonesian province of North Maluku.
There were no immediate reports of damage and the Indonesian National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) did not issue a tsunami warning.
BNPB spokesman Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said the quake, which was centered less than 10 kilometers deep, said it was too early to comment.
