Strange Things At Nuemeyer Station! Recorded December 17, 2011

There is no sound so that you can focus on the video subject matter.

What do you think is going on with our sun?

    • Dave, you are likely correct regarding annomolies in many of the shots.
I would be very interested to see the object from 2:30 to 3:30 in alt spectrums from IR to UV. Looks striking simular an object known as the “Carbon Star”…one of the great mysteries of astrophysics. You can view it on google sky at 9:47:59 13:15:40.8. Most bazar but only visible when you click on infrared. I suspect in both cases the answer lies in understanding harmonic acceleration beyond the “boundry line” if you will of 3-space…in Hz…144,000 x 10^-24…(yoctohertz). In recent months it would seem there have been any number of photos/videos of anomalis objects, at times apearing to be “shimmering” at the edge of visability.
If you are knowledgeable (I am not), possibably you could offer advice as to equipment and techniques that would allow amatures to capture shots at much higher speeds and or with filters captureing UV?

  2. This explains it….
The Neumayer station has three web cams. One is located at the telecommunication radome and points in south eastern direction at the station and its ramp to the basement garage. Another web cam is mounted on the roof of the station and looks to the south and the third web cam ist 20 km north of the station at the shelf ice coast. The cameras are highly sensitive double sensor devices with night mode. The colour sensor is working with normal daylight and the camera switches to a black and white sensor when the light is too weak. Since these sensors each have their own objective lenses, their pictures do not coincident and during switching a shift is noticeable. The web cams switch automatically between the two modes and choose the optimum exposure time depending on the brightness. Due to the high sensitivity of the cameras, direct moon light and spotlight from the station appear much brighter. On the station’s roof several spotlights are mounted that serve observational and signal purposes. Reflections in the optical system create light spots and rings in the picture. During polar night the only thing in the sky that is moving through the picture is the moon at times when it is visible behind the station. Although the sun is not rising, the bright twilight can appear as daylight and can make the web cam switch to colour mode. Thanks to the high sensitivity the web cams are able to display even weak light sources such as stars, polar lights, and clouds at night. The web cam pictures can be affected by fog, snow drift and icing.

This could have been caused by comet love joy being close to sun . Passing was close on 15th , 16th

  4. Well, whatever caused the anomaly, the footage would sure make a great intro to a sci-fi / horror movie! And the soundtrack could be the song “Black Hole Sun”!

  5. And here comes something strange around the sun itself, is this a ufo which shot laserweapon? Look on the right side at the 3 o clock position on this lasco C3 pic

and here the previous lasco C3 pic, you can see that there is nothing, just to see the the difference:

    So what do you think?
