Powerful Solar Flares, a link to the Mayan Calendar?

Yesterday we had reported Powerful M9-class Solar Flare and Earth Directed CME – January 23, 2012 This immense blast of plasma spewed late Sunday night from the sun led to the strongest radiation storm bombarding our planet since 2005,

Solar protons accelerated by this morning’s M9-class solar flare are streaming past Earth. On the NOAA scale of radiation storms, this one ranks S3, which means it could, e.g., cause isolated reboots of computers onboard Earth-orbiting satellites and interfere with polar radio communications, navigation and power grids and and even a plan to redirect certain high-flying airplanes. Polar flights on Earth are expected to be re-routed.

The CME will deliver a strong glancing blow to Earth’s magnetic field on Jan. 24-25 as it sails mostly north of our planet.

NASA issued a 2012 solar storm warning ( NASA – Issued March 10, 2006 ) telling the public to get ready for a once time in a lifetime Solar Storm. What NASA did not tell you that our sun is entering into a interstellar energy cloud which is also turbulent which will cause the sun’s solar maximum in 2012 to become violent, which results in the Carrington Effect that maybe knocks out power and communications worldwide. The sun’s activity is on an 11-year cycle with a ‘solar maximum’ in 2013.

This powerful solar flares are related to the Mayan calendar? At the beginning of the Ninth wave on March 9, 2011, there was a large 0.5-X1 class flare. At the time the fifth (M9, 3) and sixth (X2, 1) day began, the Sun also produced powerful solar flares and finally, the night began with sixth-X1 0.4 class flare.

Hypothetically, there could be a link may exist between these flames and the Mayan Calendar.

The sun’s warmth makes life on Earth possible. But our home star can also be dangerous, flaring up and ejecting huge masses of hot material that can travel across space to disrupt Earth’s neighborhood!

  1. Well pls read also this article here (and if yu find it interessting as i did than afterwards also part 1):

  2. PS: I forgot to post this video. It is one of the better ones, its called The great year:

  3. That cross-section of the sun shows a gaseous or molten core. I thought that the latest observations proved that the interior is solid because certain “mountainous” features are seen on repeated revolutions. I am sure that there are still many more surprises to learn about our single sustaining force, the sun.

    • The sun is made of plasma, and consists mostly of hydrogen and helium. It is a not solid. I haven’t read a credible scientific paper recently that discusses anything differently. Also, if the sun was not plasma, and was instead solid, an explanation of the sun’s magnetic field would have to be completely revised.

When in doubt, Wikipedia is a great source to get a cursory understanding of topics like this.
